Following a period of interim management for Venuemasters, the academic venues marketing consortium, the Board of Directors have appointed Natalie Williamson as the new General Manager. This follows a short period of interim management by Natalie, as the member’s consortium looks towards 2018, and to continue the successes of 2017. Natalie will be joined by Jackie Beatson and Erin Footitt who will offer support for all areas of the business.
Commenting on the appointment Clare Forster, Conference Office Manager at University of Salford, and the Vice Chair of Venuemasters Board of Directors: “The Board are delighted and congratulate Natalie on her appointment. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge having worked for Venuemasters and across the meeting and events sector for over the last decade.”
Natalie joined Venuemasters as Marketing Services Executive in 2006, and was quickly recognised by the management team and Board as a great asset to have around. In 2014 she became Marketing Manager, taking on full responsibility for managing and developing the company’s extensive range of B2B marketing activities and services. The new role covers responsibility for managing and overseeing the entirety of the organisation and working with the Board of Directors to help set the strategic direction and to deliver the organisation’s business aims and objectives, for the next five years.
Natalie commented: “It’s a real honour to take the reins at such an important time. I’ve lots of ideas and changes I’d like to make, some quick wins, and some that will take a little longer. It’s exciting to be heading into a new year in a new position and I’ve got some ideas I’d like to take forward. With the help of the Board and my team, and without giving too much away, there’s exciting plans in store for 2018, so watch this space carefully.”
