Your privacy is important to us and the following outlines how ACE uses and protects any personal data that we collect from you or you provide to us during our business dealings.
Visiting us online
Gathering information and statistics via our website enables us to understand what content visitors are interested in. The data is analysed to improve our products and services. We collect hostnames and IP addresses but no Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
The data we collect
Any data we collect will be done so for Fair Contract Processing and Legitimate Interests in relation to our membership, event and associated business activities. The information we request, or you submit, will normally include name, address, email address and other relevant information but may include additional personal information.

- Deliver our membership, event and marketing services to you.
- Provide information on any other services related to our business that you have requested.
- Answer any questions you may have about our business and services.
- If you have given your consent, we may market new products and services to you.
Specifically, in relation to our Members we will use your data to:
- Keep you informed of the activities of ACE.
- Provide you with membership benefits and opportunities.
- Keep you informed of the activities of other ACE Members, partners and suppliers.

Disclosure of Data
Your data will never be sold by us. The personal information that you provide to us may be shared with third parties if required as a part of a benefit offered by ACE. If we need to share your data with third parties, we ensure that we have a data processing agreement in place and only transfer your data through encryption and protected files.
Storage of Data
Where we use third party software we endeavour to make sure they are GDPR compliant. Data may be held in hardcopy, on servers and cloud-based servers. Data is only held in the UK.
Other sources of data
We may also process information about you where it is available from public sources, for example an on-line professional profile.
Retaining your data
We will only hold your information for as long as necessary either for our contractual obligations or in accordance with statutory requirements and legitimate interests. ACE undertake an annual review of data and shred or delete data no longer relevant.
Subject Access Request
You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold on our systems. This information is restricted to information held about you and not any third party, references given in confidence or privileged information. Other types of information may also be exempt under data protection laws.
Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
Right of rectification – you have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Right to be forgotten – in certain circumstances you can ask for the data we hold about you to be erased from our records.
Right to restriction of processing – where certain conditions apply you have a right to restrict the processing.
Right of portability – you have the right to have the data we hold about you transferred to another organisation.
Right to object – you have the right to object to certain types of processing such as direct marketing.
Right to object to automated processing, including profiling – you also have the right not to be subject to the legal effects of automated processing or profiling.
In the unlikely event that ACE refuses your request under rights of access, we will provide you with a reason as to why, which you have the right to legally challenge.
